Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister’s office vandalised, suspect flees

An unidentified woman vandalised the office gate of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the Mantralaya building in Mumbai on Thursday.
The Mantralaya building houses most of the departments of the state government. According to sources, the woman was upset over an issue related to her house and attempted to damage the nameplate of the Deputy Chief Minister.
The woman reportedly went to the sixth-floor office of Fadnavis on Thursday evening and threw his nameplate to the ground. She also allegedly smashed several potted plants.
Staffers and police constables tried to detain her, but she managed to escape through the south end gate.
Marine Drive police are currently investigating the incident and searching for the woman.
